Privacy Policy
How QT-Buddy handles your information.
Last updated: 1 October 2026
1. About this policy
This policy covers the QT-Buddy desktop application, qtology.in and the account, catalogue and purchase services at admin.qtology.in. QTology is the product brand. For privacy questions or requests, contact app.qtology@gmail.com.
2. Information used to provide the app
Account information includes your email address, account identifier and authentication records. Registration and account checks may also involve a device identifier, device or application details and registration status. Download and purchase records connect your account to the content you can access. Messages you send to support include the details you choose to provide.
3. Email and optional Google sign-in
Email authentication is provided through Supabase. Google sign-in is currently unavailable in the desktop interface. If enabled in a future release and you choose it, Google and Supabase provide basic identity information such as your account identifier, email address and available profile details to authenticate your account. QT-Buddy does not request access to Gmail messages, Drive files, contacts or calendars. QT-Buddy does not receive your Google password.
4. Information stored on your device
The app stores preferences, installed content, authentication/session information and data needed for offline access. If you enable Remember email and password on Windows, the app saves those credentials locally using Windows account protection. Use this option only on a trusted personal device. You can remove remembered credentials by turning the option off on the sign-in form. Removing a downloaded package does not delete your online account or purchase history.
5. Desktop interaction
Cursor position and movement, display layout and relevant desktop/window state are used locally to animate companions, react to nearby movement and control whether overlays appear over other apps. Guard Mode requests that your computer remain awake while active. These features do not require uploading your screen contents or the text you enter in other applications.
6. Why information is used
We use information to create and authenticate accounts, verify device registration and content access, deliver downloads and signed application updates, reconcile purchases, prevent misuse and respond to support requests. The public website uses Google Analytics to understand visits, page views and interactions. Google Analytics may use cookies and process browser, device and technical connection information. Authentication-return pages are excluded from analytics. This integration omits URL parameters and referrer details from its initial page view and disables Google advertising signals and advertising personalization. You can control cookies and tracking through your browser settings and available Google Analytics opt-out tools. Hosting and service providers may process technical request logs, including IP addresses and browser or device information.
7. Service providers and payments
Supabase provides authentication and database services. Our hosting and delivery providers process requests needed to serve the website, app services and content. Paid-content checkout is handled by Razorpay where offered. Payment and order references, amounts, status and the associated content may be stored for purchase verification and support; payment instrument details are handled by the payment provider. Google processes information if you choose Google sign-in when available. Providers may process data outside your country under their own service terms and privacy policies.
8. Google user data
When Google sign-in is available, information received from Google is used for account authentication and the related account features described above, not for advertising. It is not sold. Access is limited to service providers and authorized personnel who need it to operate or support these features, or disclosures required by law. You can remove QT-Buddy access through your Google Account third-party connections; this does not by itself delete your QT-Buddy account.
9. Retention and deletion requests
Account, registration and access records are kept while needed to provide the service. Payment, security and support records may need to be retained for accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention or legal obligations. Contact app.qtology@gmail.com from your registered email to request access, correction or deletion. We may need to verify ownership before acting. We will explain any information that must be retained; deleting an account can remove access to associated downloads and purchases.
10. Your choices and security
You can change preferences, disable startup or overlays, remove local content and stop using the app. Available downloaded content can work offline after initial online registration; new downloads and account checks require a connection. Security measures include protected local credentials and signature checks for app updates and supported content packages. No system can guarantee absolute security. Do not send passwords, private keys or full payment details to support.
11. Children and policy changes
QT-Buddy is not intended to collect information from children who cannot lawfully consent to account use. A parent or guardian should contact support if a child has supplied personal information without appropriate permission. We may update this policy as the service changes and will update the date on this page. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate service channel.
12. Contact
